Youth as Gold

Youth as Gold

Youth as Gold is a band from Atlanta, Georgia that was formed in early 2016 by Dillon Wilson (guitar/vocals), and Kyle Henshaw (drums). Friends since high school, the two followed and supported each other's musical endeavors throughout their college years. When Wilson approached Henshaw in late 2015 with the idea of a new project, they were ankle deep in a collection of classic rock cassettes that they had picked up from a local thrift store. Soon after, they began the process of re-composing and recording a handful of demos that Wilson had stashed on an old hard drive. "Honey" was the first fruits of that undertaking- recorded in their spare time between home studios, and released in late 2016, following the release of their single: "Another One for the Birds" recorded with Kevin Sellors at the Vault Recording Lounge in Marietta, GA. Boasting a sound that blends 70’s and modern rock, they have gained favor amidst the trending appreciation for lo-fi indie artists and the DIY crusade. Their debut full-length record: "No Good Sons," was released in August of 2017. Soon after release they were joined by bassist Johnny Bernd, officially forming a trio and setting out to display their own brand of dirty, loud, blues inspired rock and roll. They are currently on tour and have plans to release a new EP in late 2018.
